The University of Sussex is a public research university situated on a large and open green field site on the South Downs, East Sussex. It is located on the edge of the city of Brighton and Hove. Taking its name from the historic county of Sussex, the University received its Royal Charter in August 1961. The University was shortlisted for 'University of the Year' in the 2011 Times Higher Education Awards. Sussex was a founding member of the 1994 Group of research-intensive universities promoting excellence in research and teaching. The University is proud of its spirited student body, as well as our interdisciplinary approach to teaching: students are able to grow their knowledge beyond the ‘core’ modules of their chosen course. The University of Sussex is 4th in the UK for graduate employability, with 96% of its graduates in work or further study. Sussex students are encouraged to spend time studying abroad, on work placements and volunteering, thus broadening their skills and experience and making them exciting prospects for future employers.Undergraduate: Typical offer requires AAB – ABB or AAA – AAB.
Postgraduate: 2.1 for the majority of the courses. IELTS: Normally an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each element. *Please note that entry requirements vary on the course-to-course basis. More information can be obtained from UKuni consultants.
