Established: 1964

The University of Kent is a public research university based in Kent, United Kingdom. It was founded in 1965 and is recognised as a British "plate glass university". It is a member of the Santander Network of European universities encouraging social and economic development, Association of Commonwealth Universities and Universities UK. The University of Kent's main site is a rural campus just north of Canterbury situated within 300 acres of park land, which houses over 4,300 students. The university has additional sites in Medway and Tonbridge in Kent, United Kingdom and European postgraduate centres in Brussels, Athens and Paris. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise the University of Kent was placed 24th out of 118 participating institutions in terms of the best research in a ranking produced by Times Higher Education. In 2012 the University of Kent ranked 80 in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in Top 100 Universities Under 50 Years Old.
Entry Requirements

Undergraduate: Five passes at GCSE grade C or above, including English Language or Use of English (IGCSE English as a Second Language, grade B), and at least two subjects at A level OR three passes at GCE A level and a pass at grade C or above in GCSE English Language or Use of English.
