A few weeks ago we were invited by Queen's University Belfast to their agent's conference. We had the opportunity of getting an insight of what students experience over there and we loved it! And great option if you are looking to study in the UK. Northern Ireland's capital, Belfast is a great and inexpensive city to study, especially welcoming for international students.
The university is ranked in the top one percent of global universities and is recognized for its research in the areas of food security and sustainable development and sustainable rural development, the last two are areas of study taught in the Gibson Institute for Land, Food and Environment - The university is currently ranked 7th in the UK for Agriculture, Forestry and Food according to the Guardian University Guide 2016.

MSc - Leadership for Sustainable Development
This innovative programme promotes leadership and embraces action based, experimental learning, facilitated through a series of lectures, work placements, and group projects. The course fosters critical thinking and promotes the use of initiative for problem-solving and decision-making in sustainable development.
The programme content splits into three major stages, autumn semester; when the student will be introduced to leadership and sustainable development, and spring and summer semesters, the student will carry out three placements, each comprising eight weeks' work of the following:

Graduates from this programme occupy important positions both locally and globally withing the eg following voluntary, governance, business and finance sectors. Climate change and health, Culture nd media; Eco-tourism; Food, farming, and horticulture; Natural and built environment; Planing and renewable energy; Rural and urban regeneration; Sustainable transport; Waste and recycling.
MSc Leadership for Sustainable Rural Development
Sustainable development involves challenging the disparities between rural and urban areas, protecting the countryside and sustaining local services.
As well as the previous programme, this one is split into three stages, autumn semester; when the student will be introduced to leadership and sustainable development, and spring and summer semesters, the student will carry out a sixteen-week placement in the rural sector or within an organisation that has rural interest. This can be in government, business or the voluntary sector, in Northern Ireland or abroad.
Entry requirements for both courses are:
A 2.2 Honours Degree or above in an appropriate subject or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University.
IELTS score of 6.0, with no less than 5.5 in any component or an equivalent qualification.
